Profile

Azmi Ahmad is a Business Trainer and Management Consultant with more than 20 years experience delivering knowledge-based services. His involvement in diverse industries enables him to share applied knowledge, practical insights and fresh perspectives.

He graduated with Bachelor of Commerce from Australian National University in 1986. He is a Fellow CPA (FCPA) of CPA Australia. He is also a Trainer certified by Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Bhd, Ministry of Human Resources, Malaysia (TTT/00413).

Azmi sharpened his entrepreneurial and management skills whilst serving with SKALI, CIMB and Arthur Andersen. He gained in-depth understandings of strategies and implementation from his roles as executive director, e-business specialist, business advisor, investment banker, financial consultant and auditor.

As one of the co-founder, Azmi acquired invaluable experience when turning SKALI around from near bankruptcy during the Asian economic crisis, into an international e-business provider with multi-million Ringgit revenue.

He had provided services to clients from diverse sectors including banking, government, healthcare, holding companies, ICT, investment and trusts, logistics, manufacturing, media, property, retail and trading, transportation and utilities. His portfolio included multinationals and listed public companies. Azmi had the advantage of learning variety of organisational culture, operation, needs, challenges and opportunities. Those lessons broadened his knowledge and business insights.

Azmi had shared his experience at seminars or workshops organised by the CPA Australia, FMM, MDeC, MAICSA, MARA, Matrade, MIA, MTDC, NPC, PUNB and universities. He had delivered enterprise trainings for technical and core skills programmes. He had given interviews to the Australian Broadcasting Radio, BBC Radio, Far Eastern Economic Review, RTM, TV3 and various print media.
